LONDON – Marc Diakiese’s preparation camp for UFC Fight Night 208 was boosted by Khamzat Chimaev. In his 16th MMA fight, Diakiese (16-5, 7-5 UFC) defeated Damir Hadzovic via unanimous decision at The O2 on Saturday night.
The 29-year-old fought at All Stars Gym in Sweden and Brad Pickett’s Great Britain Top Team in preparation for the battle.
“Khamzat is a wonderful person,” Diakiese said during a post-fight press conference.
Diakiese found himself in a tough spot after dropping five of his previous seven games.
However, the energetic striker has rebounded and is presently on a two-fight winning run after changing his style.
