The UFC is scrambling to find a substitute for Yusuff after Giga Chikadze pulled out of the fight for unknown reasons.
At UFC Vegas 46 in January, Calvin Kattar ended Chikadze’s nine-fight winning streak. With his “Performance of the Night” finishes of Cub Swanson and Edson Barboza at UFC 25 and UFC 35, respectively, “Ninja” established himself as a top contender in the featherweight class.
For his work in the community outside of the Octagon, Chikadze was recently inducted as the 2022 recipient of the Forrest Griffin Community Award at the UFC Hall of Fame ceremony.
At UFC Vegas 50 in March, Yusuff defeated Alex Caceres through unanimous decision to get back into the win column. “Super” now has a 5-1 record in the UFC; his lone loss came against Arnold Allen at UFC Vegas 23 in April of last year.
Currently, Chikadze is rated eighth while Yusuff is ranked twelfth.
On September 17, 2018, at UFC APEX in Las Vegas, will be when UFC Vegas 60 takes place.
