After both Marlon Vera and Dominick Cruz successfully make weight for their fight on Saturday’s UFC on ESPN 41 card, the main event has been confirmed.
Vera (19-7-1 MMA, 13-6 UFC) and Cruz (24-3 MMA, 7-2 UFC) were required to meet the bantamweight limit in order to compete in Saturday’s main event. They did this by stepping on the scale at weigh-ins.
This happened on Friday morning at the hotel where the UFC was holding their event. Vera was the first person to step on the scale, and she recorded at 135.5 pounds. Cruz, on the other hand, arrived at the weigh-ins around 14 minutes later and his even weight on the scale was 135 pounds.
