If UFC president Dana White goes, Joe Rogan says he’s out,
Rogan, a UFC veteran of 25 years, is widely regarded as one of the sport’s finest commentators and analysts, having called some of the sport’s most iconic bouts since making his commentary debut at UFC 37.5 in 2002.
The UFC would not be the same without White, according to the MMA fan and former taekwondo practitioner who has known him for years. For this reason, Rogan will probably leave his commentary position whenever Dana steps down as UFC president.
In a recent episode of JRE, Rogan stated that if White retires, a particular clause in his current UFC contract will allow him to depart the company.
“If Dana leaves, I’m gone,” Rogan said.
“That’s in my contract. What he does is very different.”
UFC 280 takes place on October 22 at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, and will feature Charles Oliveira challenging Islam Makhachev for the vacant lightweight championship.
