Two middleweight prospects came into Bellator 283 with perfect records, but only Dalton Rosta left the cage with a perfect record.
Against a rival and fellow rising middleweight, Rosta (7-0 MMA, 7-0 BMMA) handed blue chip wrestling prospect Romero Cotton (6-1 MMA, 6-1 BMMA) his first career loss at 0:38 of Round 4.
The bout served as the event’s featured prelim.
Bellator 283 took place Friday at Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma, Wash. There was a little heat between Rosta and Cotton in the lead-up to the bout.
The win was Rosta’s fourth career TKO, and his first against a promotion-ranked opponent:
