The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) calendar has been updated to include a bantamweight fight.
At a UFC Fight Night event on November 5, mixed martial arts fighters Johnny Munoz (11-2 MMA, 1-2 UFC) and Liudvik Sholinian (9-2-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) are scheduled to compete against one another. At this time, the card does not have a location or venue that is known to the general public.
MMA Junkie was recently notified about the booking by two individuals who are familiar with the matchup; however, both of these individuals preferred to remain anonymous because the promotion has not yet made an official announcement.
The 29-year-old Munoz has only one victory to his name in the UFC, which came through submission over Jamey Simmons. This victory is sandwiched between defeats at the hands of Nate Maness and Tony Gravely.
Sholinian, who hails from Ukraine and competed on “The Ultimate Fighter: Season 29,” is currently 32 years old. Since then, he has only made one appearance in the UFC, and it was in September 2021, when he was defeated by Jack Shore. He was supposed to fight Nathaniel Wood in March, but he pulled out because Russia was invading Ukraine at the time.
With the addition, the UFC Fight Night lineup for Nov. 5 includes:
- Mario Bautista vs. Benito Lopez
- Nate Maness vs. Tagir Ulanbekov
- Ramona Pascual vs. Tamires Vidal
- Johnny Munoz vs. Liudvik Sholinian
