On December 10 at UFC 282, which has not yet been given a place or date, Shahbazyan (11-3 MMA, 4-3 UFC) will fight Dalcha Lungiambula (11-5 MMA, 2-4 UFC) at an as-yet-unannounced location.
Given that the organization has not made an official announcement, the source who confirmed the booking to MMA Junkie requested anonymity.
After starting his professional mixed martial arts career 11-0 with a knockout of Brad Tavares, Shahbazyan has since lost three in a row. The 24-year-old has been defeated by top-tier competitors such as Derek Brunson, Jack Hermansson, and most recently, Nassourdine Imavov, at UFC 268 in November.
There has been a downturn for Lungiambula as well. The native of the Congo is winless (1-3) since making his middleweight debut, having lost to Marc-Andre Barriault (twice), Cody Brundage (twice), and Punahele Soriano (twice).
