LAS VEGAS – Waldo Cortes-Acosta wants to win Dana White’s Contender Series 48.
Cortes-Acosta (7-0) knocked out Danilo Suzart at UFC Apex on Tuesday.
But the aim isn’t only the UFC. Cortes-Acosta wants to fight heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou.
Cortes-Acosta told reporters after DWCS 48, “I just want to keep going, and for every opponent they put in front of me, I just want to destroy them,” He also said, “And I’m going to keep doing that until I get to Francis Ngannou.”
The unbeaten Dominican boxer has contested three times in 2022 and is set to return in less than two weeks.
Cortes-Acosta claimed they were discussing San Diego on Aug. 13. “I guess you’re going to see me out there, just pushing forward and hitting people.” he said.
