The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is making its first-ever trip to Paris, France to host a mixed-martial-arts (MMA) event. This Saturday, September 3rd, at the Accor Arena in Paris, France, Ciryl Gane of France will face Tai Tuivasa of Australia in the main event of UFC Paris. What are the odds, already?
Gane is the top-ranked heavyweight in the UFC, so oddsmakers are giving him a ton of credit in his matchup with Tuivasa, who comes in at #3. Ciryl is a gigantic -560 betting favorite despite only losing once, and it was to the uncontested champion Francis N’Gannou. A $100 wager would return only $17.86 at those odds.
Tai, meantime, has beaten five opponents in a row to get into the top five, but he is still a significant underdog at +430. In the event that Tuivasa succeeds in dethroning the former interim champion of the UFC, a wager of $100 on him might return $530.
The betting lines suggest that the 25-minute time limit will be exceeded before the end of the five-round main event. It’s worth noting that the ‘Fight doesn’t go to decision’ prop bet is heavily favored at -250, with the ‘Fight goes to decision’ option paying out at +175.
The oddsmakers in Paris are not only predicting a Gane victory, but also a finish. For a little favored cost of -150, you may make the exotic wager “Gane wins inside distance,” while the “Tuivasa wins inside distance” option is now trading at a bloated dog line of +600.
