Bryce Mitchell plans to get even with Sean O’Malley for calling him “inbred.”
Following Mitchell’s prediction that Petr Yan would defeat him at UFC 280, O’Malley (16-1 MMA, 8-1 UFC) branded Mitchell an inbred. O’Malley responded to Mitchell with an insult on Instagram after he narrowly defeated Yan in a Fight of the Night match.
“He called me inbred,” Mitchell said.
“I’m gonna deal with that when I see him. He’s gonna have to move up, I’m sure. He needs to. He’s 6-foot something tall. He needs to move up a weight class, and I do believe we’re gonna clash. He can pick how he wants to, but he’s gonna lose.”
“The reason they’re not having the Sterling-O’Malley fight is because they want Aljamain to do anything but fight O’Malley right now,” Mitchell said.
“They’re trying to protect the guy that’s worth the money, and O’Malley will get destroyed if he fought Sterling. I think he knows that, too, and that’s why he’s not over here saying that he wants a title shot. Aljo would kill him. I’ve trained with Aljo for 10 years now.”
