This next Saturday (November 12), UFC 281 will take place in Madison Square Garden in New York City, with two belts up for grabs on the PPV main event. In the main event, UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya will defend his title against an old opponent, Alex Pereira. UFC strawweight champion Carla Esparza faces up against Weili Zhang, a previous champion at 115 pounds, in the co-main event. However, before we get ahead of ourselves, let’s check out the odds on these championship showsdowns.

Israel Adesanya is the heavy favorite to keep his 185-pound kickboxing crown despite having previously lost twice against Alex Pereira. At the current odds of -205 on the moneyline, a $100 wager on Izzy could earn $148.78. Consequently, Pereira is now the underdog and can be acquired for a value of +175. A $100 bet on Alex may win you $275 if he wins.

It seems the oddsmakers weren’t really impressed by the fight in which Carla Esparza reclaimed her strawweight title, despite the fact that it was a clear decision for the majority of the betting public. A $100 bet on Esparza, who is a +270 underdog, would return $370 if she were to win. The oddsmakers put Zhang at -325 on the moneyline for her gold medal defense. If you risked a hundred dollars on the defending champion, you’d win thirty-seven dollars (plus your original stake, of course).
