With the caption, "Had a good run.," the UFC welterweight added a peace sign emoji to his Instagram photo. In a little over a month, you'll be 30. I cashed the check and am leaving town. His "next career choice" was even determined by a poll of his fans.
Additionally, Holland added "Retired before 30" to his Instagram story afterward.
Holland said he was handsomely compensated for the short notice switch that saw him face Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 279. If he truly is retiring for good, then he may have done well. The objective here is to enter the ring, get your reward money, and exit before it's too late, as that is the nature of prizefighting.
