The main event of UFC on ESPN 40 was Jamahal Hill’s TKO win over Thiago Santos. This showed that Hill is a real threat at the light heavyweight division.
At the UFC Apex in Las Vegas on Saturday, Hill beat former title contender Santos (22-11 MMA, 14-10 UFC) with a TKO in the fourth round. This was the most important win of Hill’s career and made it three wins in a row.
Prochazka is now the 205-pound champion, and Hill wants the opportunity to challenge him for the championship. He stated he’d settle for a bout with former champion Jan Blachowicz if he doesn’t get that.
As far as I can tell, neither of these conflicts will happen. Hill’s future following UFC on ESPN 40 is discussed in the video above.
