London – After UFC Fight Night 208, Molly McCann had a name.
McCann (13-4 MMA, 6-3 UFC) knocked out Hannah Goldy in the first round at The O2 in London with elbows.
“The Meatball” wants to fight UFC flyweight champion Antonina Shevchenko’s sister (10-4 MMA, 4-4 UFC).
McCann said at the post-fight press conference, “I never call anyone out.” “Not my job. Valentina is the finest in legacy, prestige, and honor (Shevchenko). Valentina? No. Ready, Antonia? So. Sure. No insult intended. This isn’t “I’ll ‘F’ you everywhere.”
“No. If they conduct one fight camp for me, if I ever face Shevchenko, they’ll have a template. I’ll also know how to defeat her sister. I’ve mentioned her name because she’s the finest. Therefore, tell her, “I think she’s the best, so I’m challenging her.”
Shevchenko beat Cortney Casey by a split decision in July. Her two-fight losing streak ended.
