After losing to Stephen Thompson at UFC Orlando on Saturday, Kevin Holland is dealing with a broken right hand.
A corner stoppage occurred after four rounds of action between the “Trailblazer” and the “Wonderboy,” with Holland being clearly compromised. Holland, who nearly knocked out Thompson with some brutal right hands in the first round, said as much in a brief post-fight interview with UFC color commentator Daniel Cormier.
“I think I hurt him in the first round and after that, it was hurting,” said Holland. “It is what it is.”
“[Holland] broke his right hand landing a cross in the first round,” Hodak wrote.
“Hand is very swollen. Being transported to the hospital. Congrats to [Stephen Thompson] and team.”
Within a few hours of going to the hospital, Holland told everyone that three of his knuckles had been broken.
“[Stephen Thompson], hard head brother lol,” wrote Holland. “I broke not one, but three knuckles on it. Respect.”
Within a few hours of going to the hospital, Holland told everyone that three of his knuckles had been broken.
“He’s tough as nails,” said Stephen during his post-fight interview.
“I mean, both of my hands hurt right now because of his hard noggin, but Kevin Holland is a beast.”
